CA-SA of AST collects many kinds of information from multiple sources in order to accurately process applications, identify and provide you with the best services and experiences.

 

We collect information from when you submit an application either by online or by hard copy, contact us via email or phone, when you access our website and from other related organizations.

 

General website statistics also are collected.

 

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

 

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

We use certain information including your AST membership number, contact information and name to identify you in our system.

Contact information such as email address, mailing address and phone number may be used for sending receipts, general contact, marketing and general mailing.

 

We also collect website access information. This data is usually anonymized and used for statistical purposes only.

We share current certification and contact information with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) for the purpose of marketing and statistical data. We also share data with AST state assemblies.

CA-SA of AST does not store credit card information. 

 

Electronic application forms will be destroyed after a period of time set by our retention policy.

CA-SA of AST periodically sends out newsletters, surveys and special offers by e-mail or mail, and you may opt out of receiving this contact by calling our office or checking the “no” box on an application or in the email.

 

CA-SA of AST shares contact information with the NBSTSA and AST. Both the NBSTSA and AST have their own marketing opt-out system. Please contact them to opt out of their system.
